AN ORIGINAL EXPERIENCE
To us, it's always just been good cooking and good citizenship.
That approach is now called the farm-to-table movement and its widespread adoption means more and more people are being thoughtful about food's place in our individual and collective quality of life.
Source from conscientious vendors, grow your own produce, use honest cooking techniques, and treat your customers and staff like family. Our organic farm, open-recipe book policy, essays, and community events are the foundation of our food.
NUTRITION EQUITY FOR EMPLOYEES
“Food workers are undernourished or poorly fed as a population and ... that’s crazy. We have all this food at the restaurant and (we) thought we should open our larder to everyone who works here.”
- Chef Evan Hanczor
CHEFS AS ACTIVISTS
Egg was proud to be included in this three-day invitation-only boot camp for chefs run by the James Beard Foundation and the Chef Action Network.
From our "Tables of Contents" events that join author readings with multi-course meals to edible book club events like our To Kill a Mockingbird-themed dinner, we love bringing people, food and literature together.

We grow much of our own organic produce, but we can't grow everything. Our provisioners are carefully vetted and we've worked with some of them for over a decade
